How Can I Prevent Password Sharing
Supertab’s authentication system is designed to minimize password sharing and maintain accurate user attribution across all participating merchants.
Some users may attempt to share login credentials to give others free access to paid content or premium features. This can lead to lost revenue for merchants and inaccurate reporting of user activity.

Most users sign in using social logins (such as Google or Apple), which are tied directly to a verified personal identity. This greatly reduces the likelihood of multiple individuals using the same account, since sharing access would expose their linked social credentials and payment methods.
To further protect against account misuse, Supertab employs and recommends the following practices:
- Social login enforcement: We encourage users to continue using social logins rather than standalone email/password accounts.
- Session and device checks: Supertab can detect simultaneous sessions from multiple devices or locations and prompt re-authentication when necessary.
- Device verification: When a user logs in from a new browser or device, a one-time code or email confirmation may be required.
- Local session storage: Supertab sessions are stored securely in the user’s local browser storage, not cookies, reducing the risk of credential reuse across devices.
These measures help ensure that each user’s activity and purchases remain accurately associated with their verified identity, protecting merchants from fraudulent access and ensuring that every transaction is legitimate.
